Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
TGA involves heating a sample in a controlled environment (typically nitrogen, oxygen, or inert gas) while continuously recording its weight. As the temperature increases, various processes such as evaporation, desorption, oxidation, and decomposition occur, leading to changes in the sample's weight. These weight changes are plotted against temperature or time (rate of change in weight), resulting in a thermogram that reveals the thermal behavior of the material.
